Vitamin D3

Written By Kudick Chiropractic on July 12, 2012

Now that it is summer AND we have sun….people are asking me if they can stop taking their Vitamin D3 supplement….Well if you get 30 minutes a day of sun with bare legs and arms with no sunscreen then maybe…..However, if your level of Vitamin D3 is chronically low and/or you are not getting the specified dose of SUN DAILY then no. Vitamin D3 is crucial to the body for many functions AND studies have shown it helps prevent certain cancers (primarily breast) AND the lack of it can cause cancer!!! So unless you are absolutely sure, I recommend continuing to take your vitamin D3 supplement, the current recommended does is 5,000 units (and in some cases 10,000.) Any further questions feel free to ask me…
